Saskatchewan's Provincial Political Map

What the map shows

This map visualizes Saskatchewan's provincial political landscape by dividing the province into its 61 electoral districts, commonly known as ridings or constituencies, as of Sept 27, 2026. A riding (or constituency) is a defined geographic area drawn according to population and regional boundaries, and each one is represented by a single elected official called a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). An MLA serves as the direct local representative for the residents living in their district, advocating for community issues, debating legislation, and voting on provincial policy in the Legislative Assembly. The map uses party branding colors, green for the governing Saskatchewan Party, orange for the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party (NDP), and grey for others. A riding with a serving minister is indicated by a red dot.

Key highlights:

• Province-Wide: Out of 61 ridings, the Saskatchewan Party holds 34 seats, the New Democratic Party (NDP) holds 26, and 1 seat is held by an Independent.
• Regina: All 12 ridings are currently held by the NDP.
• Saskatoon: The NDP holds 12 of 14 ridings, while the Saskatchewan Party holds 1 and an Independent holds 1.
• Outside Regina and Saskatoon: The Saskatchewan Party holds 33 of 35 ridings, while the NDP holds the 2 northern ridings, Athabasca and Cumberland.

The map is live and fully browsable at teplomaps.ca. It shows not only Regina and Saskatoon but all of Saskatchewan. You can explore all ridings, see party affiliations and leadership, check cabinet minister statuses, and more.

In addition to basic legislative boundaries, the map highlights which MLAs hold elevated executive roles as Ministers. A Minister (or Cabinet Minister) is an MLA appointed by the Premier to lead a specific government department, such as Education, Finance, Energy, or Health. While standard MLAs focus on constituency advocacy and legislative debate, Cabinet Ministers hold direct executive authority to manage ministry budgets, direct provincial policy, and sponsor government bills.
